Bon Secours Surgical Weight Loss Center’s multi-disciplinary team of specialists treats the whole person, with a comprehensive plan, including psychological, nutritional and physical evaluations and counseling, support groups and long-term coordination of care.

Surgical Excellence

The board-certified surgeons of Surgical Weight Loss Center have created a high-functioning bariatric surgery team. Under the medical directorship of David Spencer, DO, each has performed the Roux en Y gastric bypass and gastric LAP banding countless times, as both a laparoscopic and traditional surgical procedure, in addition to a new highly specialized and successful procedure-the Sleeve Gastrectomy.

The frequent repetition of the same procedure, over and over, is key to their perfecting each stage of each surgery, from patient preparation to OR and to post-surgery. Their patients report fewer infections and fewer complications.

Our goal is to help our patients with significant, permanent weight loss, so that they can lead healthier, more active lives. We’ve helped almost two thousand men and women to achieve their goals since we began in 2003.
